Here is the modified version of Fear Falls meditation script, so now you can use it as many times as you want to help your child let his/her fears go easier. Make sure to read it slowly, softly 😉
Lie down, make yourself comfy and gently close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, and slowly blow it all out. Breathe in through your nose and now calmly breathe out through your mouth. Inhale again slowly, and now exhale. Good job. Your body is relaxed.
Imagine that you are walking in Brave Field. There are colorful flowers everywhere around you. The Sun is shining, and you can hear the chirp of the birds. It’s very nice to be here. You would like to meet Beck, so you start to walk towards the forest, where he lives. As you walk you glimpse him on the path, where you just wanted to step on. You greet each other. You are happy to meet again.
You ask Beck to go to Fear Falls, because you have a fear that you would like to get rid of. So both of you start walking, and soon you arrive at the lake where Fear Falls falls down. You climb up to the top of the waterfall. Some more steps… and now you are there. So now it’s time to get rid of your fear.
Think of the fear., that you want to let go… Now visualize that you pull the fear out from your body, with your hands. Go next to Fear Falls, and drop the fear in strongly. Feel as the fear goes away. Feel it in your body that you let it go now. You don’t have this fear anymore. You don’t need this fear anymore. You are free. Your fear vanished in the Falls. You got rid of that fear. It won’t cause you any trouble anymore. You feel that you relieved. You could let that fear go. The waterfall washed it away.
Now inhale the smell of the waterfall. You know inhaling the scent of the waterfall fills you up with courage. So take 5 deep breaths. (Slowly count) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Good job. Now your whole body is filled with courage. You feel to be brave, strong and powerful. You know that everything is perfectly OK. (Pause)
Now that your fear is gone and your whole body is filled with courage, you say thank you to Beck. You hug each other. You know that you can come here anytime to meet him.
Now you start to walk back to Brave Field. You go calmly, taking deep breaths. Now you reached the field. Whenever you are ready, you can open your eyes, and when you do so, you will still feel brave.
