Healthy tasty snack

I’m not a healthy food guru or something, of course I pay attention to our dishes, try not to eat much junk food, but we are not yet “exclusively raw food eaters”. Moreover we are not halfway to it… But I’m proud when I can serve healthy food for the kids 🙂

I heard about oat flakes cookies not so long ago. I’ve just made that for the boys. Well, Kristof and Daniel loved it, But Mate didn’t. I thought I share it, maybe you would try it out as well. This is a healthy snack, only 2 ingredients are enough to make them, you can prepare the cookies very fast and they are yummy 🙂 So the basic recipe is here:

  • 2 large bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups oat flakes

Mix them together. Preheat oven to 325 F. Drop cookie dough on baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes until it becomes golden brown.

You can add several other ingredients like I did such as, raisin, almond, walnut, dried blueberries, dried plums and so on. You can make experiments with your own ingredients, have fun with that 🙂
